NASORLO Request to the Biden Transition Team related to the State Assistance Program

Attached is a copy of an email text transmitting the NASORLO priorities to the Biden Transition Team.  We are asking them for consideration of key changes to the LWCF Manual and indicating how our 2021 priorities address the Biden platform.  The specific letter of transmittal to the Biden Team is attached along with our requests laid out to address the new Administration priorities.  fyi

President Lanterman to Kate Kelly from the Biden Transition Team.

On behalf of NASORLO, the organization of state officials that administer the State Assistance Program of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, I am transmitting our recommendations to the Biden Transition Team on ways this program can support his priorities.  In addition, we have identified issues that we hope President Biden and his administration can address related to improvements in the program.
The LWCF State Assistance program has been a long-term successful partnership between the federal government, state, and local governments to improve the outdoor recreation opportunities for our citizens in close to home locations.  NASORLO looks forward to working with the new administration to improve the State Assistance program.
We are available to answer any questions that arise and have additional backup materials to clarify any issues or provide more information.
Please contact me or our NASORLO team at any time.  Linda Lanterman, President NASORLO
